Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you provide?
Clarendon Recovery House is an ASAM 3.7 facility, meaning we can provide residential/inpatient treatment, including medication monitoring for medically-assisted detoxification.
What is the “Executive Program”?
At Clarendon Recovery House, we recognize that addiction affects people from all walks of life. While the goal of treatment should be recovery, and thus recovery should be your main focus while staying with us, we understand that there are some people who cannot easily unplug from the world to complete an inpatient program. We are supportive of clients who need to work remotely while they are under our care. Every room includes a desk that can be used as a private office space while you are under our care. There are, of course, core parts of the Clarendon Recovery program that clients are expected to participate in; however, our team strives to provide flexibility for working professionals under our care.
Can I use my electronics?
Yes! Clarendon Recovery House is electronic-device friendly. We have a high-speed, secure, private WiFi network for our clients, and we allow our clients to bring their personal devices with them, such as their phones, laptops, and tablets. Clients may use these devices while in our program, except during group therapy sessions, individual therapy sessions, and during a client’s initial blackout period.
How long is your blackout period?
We do not want to punish our clients, but for their own safety and the safety of our other clients, we impose an initial blackout period upon arrival throughout the detox process, up to a maximum of 72 hours. That being said, while clients will be restricted from using their electronics during this blackout period, clients are welcome to use their electronic devices alongside a member of staff to contact loved ones during the blackout period.
What should I bring with me?
Please refer to our packing list for advice about what to bring. All client belongings are subject to search and seizure upon arrival. This protects not only you, but our other clients and staff as well. Unlike many similar facilities, we do not expect you to go out and purchase completely new toiletries for your stay with us. We allow clients to bring their toiletries with them; however, staff will withhold any toiletries that contain alcohol within the first three ingredients. Withheld items (e.g., cologne) can be temporarily checked out for use but must be returned to a member of staff after use.
